    • (2) 6' Pieces of Diamond Braid Cord
    • (18) 36" x 2" x 2" Posts (fewer for smaller mat, more for larger mat)
    • Sandpaper
    • Tack Cloth
    • Drill
    • Drill Bit

  1. Measure, mark center and cut posts in half.
  2. Measure and mark 4" from each side.
  3. Drill holes where marked.
  4. Sand rough edges and wipe clean.
  5. Apply light, even coats of paint to each piece, alternating between chosen colors. Let dry.
  6. Flip and repeat until all sides are painted. Let dry.
  7. Knot the ends of each piece of cord and thread through the holes of the wood pieces, working left to right and knotting between each piece. Finish with a knot on the end of the cord. Snip and discard extra cord.

Tip: Apply tape to the threading side of each piece of cord for easier threading through drilled holes.
